Rose Ann Hefner - 304-346-9689 x15

I want to create a safe place in which people can touch into their own wisdom and discover the answers that work for them. Many times people have already found their own solution, it is just a matter of living out of what they already know. I have some tools that I believe can be helpful to people along the way. Compassionate Communication is one of those tools that can help people deepen their connection with themselves and one another. Being invited into the life of another is to walk on Holy Ground, and I treasure the opportunity to help people move towards a deep sense of inner freedom and peace, companioning them as they journey towards becoming their best selves.

I am a member of the Congregation of St. Joseph. I am a licensed social worker, and a licensed professional counselor (LPC), working at Kanawha Pastoral Counseling Center; a Credentialed Gambling Counselor, working with Problem Gamblers Help Network; and have a Certificate in Spiritual Direction from West Virginia Institute for Spirituality. A native of West Virginia, I am a graduate of Lewisburg High School, Wheeling Jesuit University (known as Wheeling College when I was there), and Loyola College of Maryland.

Ric Hardison - 304-346-9689 x16

I view my work in counseling/therapy as a ministry based on Christian values and clinically sound therapeutic techniques. I offer this therapy to individuals and families struggling with a variety of issues. I have earned a master’s degree in religious education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a master's degree in clinical psychology from Illinois State University. I am licensed by the state of West Virginia as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). The International Board of Christian Counselors has recognized me as a Board Certified Professional Christian Counselor (BCPCC). I have been providing counseling/therapy to children, adolescents, individual adults, and families since 1992.

I believe in assisting others to use their God-given abilities to grow as healthy individuals and families. I understand that the life at stake is not my own. It will be your responsibility to make life changes, applying what you learn in therapy as God leads. I use a variety of approaches, including but not limited to rational-emotive, solution-focused, trauma reprocessing, communication-based and strength-building couples counseling, and Christian counseling. Further description of each of these approaches is available.

Ann Martin  - 304-346-9689 x32

I enjoy working with individuals, age 13 and over, couples, and families. Usually, when people come to see me they are in a place they do not want to be. I like helping people set positive goals so that they may be clear about what they want; what they are working toward. My intention is to be intensely present with my clients as they work to meet those goals.

Therapies used include cognitive-behavioral, solution focused, and person centered, and teaching and practicing communication skills. I do my best to offer these services in a non-judgmental atmosphere, where people may include their own spiritual beliefs as they wish. My formal education consists of a bachelors degree in Social Work, a masters in Counseling, and licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have been working at Kanawha Pastoral Counseling Center since January, 2004.

Bob Schacht - 304-346-9689 x18

I believe that all of us have the abilities to solve problems with such things as relationships, marriage, and depression. .  By working together, through counseling, I think you can discover how to better use your abilities to find solutions to problems.  For those that want it, I can provide faith as part of the counseling.

I have a Master’s Degree in counseling from Marshall University and 4 years experience as a resident counselor at the Kanawha Pastoral Counseling Center.  I counsel adult individuals and couples.  It is my goal to provide counseling to those who have limited income.
