Our main office

Charleston is
open 8am - 5pm, Monday
through Friday.
Insurance
At this time we accept
most insurance
companies. This
includes clients with
Mt State Blue
Cross/Blue Shield,
PEIA, Magellan,
4-most, SelectNet,
Mental
Health Net,
and many others.
With insurance, your
out-of-pocket cost
will range from
between $7 to $55,
depending on your
insurance plan. The
usual out-of-pocket
cost is around $30 per
session. Some plans
even cover the whole
cost, so may be no
cost to you.
We will check
your insurance
for you!
If you call our
office, we will be
happy to check with
your insurance to find
out about what would
be covered under your
plan. You would have
no obligation to make
an appointment. We
would be happy to
check for you so you
would know.
When we call your
insurance, we will
determine if you have
mental health
benefits, what is your
deductible and if it
has been met, how many
sessions per calendar
year your plan will
cover, how much your
plan will cover for
each session, and if
pre-authorization is
required. We will then
be able to let you
know what is expected
in your portion of the
fee.
Our office will bill
your insurance
automatically, and
will work hard can so
that your health
insurance benefits can
be realized.
As you can see, our
office staff is very
knowledgeable about
insurance benefits. If
you would like to find
out what your actual
out-of-pocket cost per
session would be,

Not Everyone
has Insurance
About half of our
clients do not have
insurance. In these
cases we try to make
the cost of the
sessions as affordable
as possible. Our
Center has a Client
Sponsorship Fund,
which allows us to
offer fee subsidies
for our motivated
clients. We also have
several grants which
allow us to serve our
clients in particular
location or
situations. Please
call us so we can help
determine if you might
qualify, and what the
actual cost of a
session would be for
you.

Our Board of Directors
works very hard each
year to create a fund
that will help keep
the cost of our
service available for
everyone. Our main
fundraising event is
the Jim dent Dinner.
We also accept
donations for
individuals,
congregations, and
corporations. Please
see our partners page
to view these worth
generous
organizations.
Once a year we ask our
current and former
clients to help by
contributing to the
fund. In this way
people are able to
pass on the help that
they received in the
past by making it
available to a
deserving client in
the future. Everybody
needs a little help
now and then. In this
way we add to the
circulation of help
throughout our
community.
We offer special
thanks to the Sisters
of Saint Joseph and
the Greater Kanawha
Valley Foundation who
has supported us and
our clients in so many
ways.
Payment
Cash, check, and
credit cards all work
for us. We ask that
you pay for your
portion at the time of
each session.
Cancellation Policy
If you cancel a
session with less than
24 hours notice, or
miss the session all
to together, we will
charge you for the
cost of the full
session. Your
insurance will
probably not cover for
this charge.
Please call ahead
if you are going to
cancel. If we can fill
the session with
another client, you
will not be charged.
Our office is
officially closed on
Kanawha County School
"Snow Days." You will
not be charged for
missed sessions on
these days. Some of
our counselors do like
to drive in bad
weather, so if you
would like to still
meet with them on a
snow day, please
confirm the session
with them.
